Catherine Marie Klekot

Catherine Marie Klekot, age 75, of Portage passed away Tuesday October 28, 2025, at Northwest Health-Porter Hospital. Catherine was born August 23, 1950, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Sigmund and Genevieve (Barlog) Lesniewski. She was a homemaker, mother and wife. She loved playing BINGO, baking, and cooking. Catherine was a Den Mother while Nicholas was in Boy Scouts.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Nicholas Klekot of Portage; two children, Melodee Lange of Portage and Nicholas Klekot of Elmhurst, Illinois; three siblings, Mike (DeeDee) Lesniewski, Ray Lesniewski, and Sandy (Greg) Lesniewski-Wilson al of Montrose, Colorado; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; and her best friend Peggy Carter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom Lesniewski.

Visitation will be from 10 am to 2 pm Wednesday November 5, 2025, at the Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46342. Her funeral service will follow immediately at 2pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
