Catherine L. Srednoselac "Cathy" (nee Rabb), age 62, of Portage, IN passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

Cathy was born on May 29, 1961 in Shreveport, LA to Bill and Pat (nee Karabin) Rabb.  She was a graduate of Thornridge High School, Class of 1979.  Cathy earned her beautician's license and cut hair for many years.  She then became a coordinator and teacher of the pre-school at the Portage YMCA and a gymnastics coach.  She was also the Chair of the YMCA League Board.  Cathy married George Srednoselac on October 10, 1987 and spent 35 years together.

Cathy was very intuitive and a great listener.  She was extremely creative and could successfully throw together any kind of party for any number of guests in a short period of time.  Cathy was the party expert and a very loving mother.  She loved to feed everyone that came through her door and was known as "mom" to many of her sons' friends.  Cathy was a HUGE Disney fan and vacationed every other year to Disney World.  Said by her boss and dear friend, Janet: "She was special and one of a kind".  Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Cathy is survived by her husband: George; sons: Alex William (Alyssa Robinson), Taylor Jacob, and Kevin Scott (Stephanie Sabates) Srednoselac; mother: Pat Rabb; sister: Sheri Rabb Venturelli; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and close friends: Lynne Dean, Lynette Dean, Janet Grant, and Shelly Schmidt.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father: Bill and sister: Beverly Ritchie.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave, Portage) on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 3:00-8:00 P.M.  Funeral service will be PRIVATE.
