Catherine E. Weber (nee Pitrowski), age 72, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Cathy graduated from Bishop Noll Institute in 1957. She returned to school after her children were grown and graduated from Indiana University School of Nursing in 1977. Cathy worked for 25 years as an RN, in Cardiac Nursing. After retiring Cathy taught nursing at local universities. For the past 10 years Cathy loved spending winters in Florida with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Edward F. Weber; 2 sons, Edward T. Weber of Hobart and Timothy M. Weber; 4 grandchildren, Erin (Jeremy) Miller of Hobart, Edward B. Weber of Crown Point, Dustin (Casey) Weber of Hobart; and Nichole (Matt) Bull of Hobart; 7 great grandchildren, Cailey, Cole, Riley, Lincoln, Lilly, Cora, and Jaxson.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Edward Pitrowski, and her mother, Ruth Heaton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Cathy will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 509 W. Division Rd., Valparaiso, with Rev. Douglas J. Mayer officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W.
