CATHY J. CONNERS, age 50, of South Haven, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2012 at Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Cathy was a lifelong Portage area resident and graduated from Portage High School in 1980. She was a licensed hairdresser and cosmetologist who enjoyed collecting Barbie Dolls. Most recently she had been employed as a telemarketer with Americall.
Cathy is survived by her father, Thomas B. Conners of Valparaiso, brothers, Thomas A. (Judith) Conners of Valparaiso, Mark Conners of Lake Station, niece & nephews: Erik, Kellie, Kevin & Keith. Her mother, Patricia Conners, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 11 am until 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev.
