CATHY ANN EMBRY, age 55, of Portage, and formerly a 22-year resident of Hobart, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 while surrounded by her loving family. Cathy was born on May 23, 1958 to Dolores and Raymond Burbee. She dearly loved her dogs and horses and enjoyed her Bingo nights. Cathy will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Phillip Embry and daughter, Melissa Embry both of Portage; mother, Dolores Burbee of Merrillville; brother, Raymond David Burbee of Las Vegas, NV; 2 sisters, Sandi (Jerry) Brown and Sharon Steinhubel all of Portage; several nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Burbee and her niece, Jennie Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cathy's family.

A funeral service for Cathy will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
