Cecil Leonard Jordan, age 87 of Portage passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013. He was born on May 19, 1925 in Jacks Creek, Tennessee to the late Charlie and Vernie Jordan. He served his country in WWII and earned the Bronze Star. Cecil was a former Dolton, Illinois resident and worked at American District Telegraph. Cecil enjoyed gardening and was an avid White Sox and Bulls fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years, Dorothy Jean Jordan (nee Snider) of Portage, IN; 1 son, Perry (Rose) Jordan of Bronson, MI; 2 daughters, Pamela (Michael) Costello of South Holland, IL; Patricia Jordan of Portage, IN; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Shadiya) Costello, Sean Costello, Andrew Jordan, Patrick (Nichole) Jordan, and Hannah Weiss, 2 great-grandchildren, Chloe and Grace Costello, and 5 brothers and sisters, Nell (late Al) Laipply, Bernice (late Bill) Remensnyder, Lois (Duane) Martin, Larry Jordan, Jerry (Linda) Jordan, and 1 sister-in-law, Ledell Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Jordan.
Funeral services are Friday, April 12, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, IN. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage.
