CECIL C. REESE, age 79, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Cecil was born and raised in Hobart and a lifelong resident. He was a retired sheet metal worker affiliated with Local #303 and Local #20 and loved fishing, hunting and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, 2 sons, Mark (Susan) Reese and Brian (Laura) Reese, all of Hobart, daughter, Pamela Smrzlick of Valparaiso, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Marilyn (Chester) Hudak of Lowell, Charlene O'Daniels, sister-in-law, Janet Reese of Hobart, special friends: Larry Boger and Ted Jones. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Horton VNA Hospice or American Cancer Society.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with the visitation beginning at 11 am and concluding with the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Chaplain Craig Forwalter officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
