Chad B. Habhab, age 33, of Portage, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Chad was born on November 20, 1989 in Merrillville, IN to Tony and Kelly (nee Rust) Habhab.  He was a Graduate of Metcalfe County High School, Class of 2009.  Chad worked as a HVAC technician.  He enjoyed fishing and riding bikes, dirt bikes, and four wheelers.  Chad liked to work on old cars and owned a Ford Falcon.  Most importantly, Chad loved to spend time with his children.  He is a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Chad is survived by his children: Karson, Kiernan, and Rowan Habhab; parents: Tony (Reesee) Habhab and Kelly Habhab; siblings: Johnna (Brent) Pennington and Jacob (Kristen) Habhab; nieces and nephews: Brackston, Bentley, Landon and Alivia Pennington and Kaleb, Kallee, and Kynlee Habhab; paternal grandfather: Bill Habhab; dear cousin: Jillian Delph; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and girlfriend: Danielle Henson.

Chad is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Phyllis Habhab, and maternal grandparents: Glenda and Jerry Cook.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave., Portage) on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 3:00-6:00 P.M. for a memorial visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chad's name may be made to his children.
