Charles A. "Sonny" Redman, age 70, of Portage , passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his home in Florida, surrounded by his loving family. Sonny was born on July 31, 1946 to the late Charles E. and Vera L. (nee Brimberry) Redman in Williamsport, Indiana. Sonny retired from Ramsey County Wholesale and Distribution as a warehouse supervisor. He loved bowling at Camelot bowling alley on Tuesday nights "Major B" League, he also bowled for many years at Legion Lanes in Hammond. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather brother and friend. Sonny is survived by his children; sons, Robert Michaels of Portage and Charles A Redman II; daughter, Tabitha (Michael) Graziano of Port St. Joe, Florida; four sisters, Judith Wells of Marshall, Indiana, Patty Cole of Attica, Indiana, Dorothy "Jean" Pickett of Joliet, Illinois and Nancy Goodlink of Attica, Indiana, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anna (nee Carrol) Redman; his parents; brother, Larry Daniel Redman; sister, Caryllon Webb four brother-in-law's, Gale Webb, Mack Wells, Bill Cole and Joe Pickett. A Funeral service for Sonny will be held on Tuesday August 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 5341 Central Ave, Portage, Indiana. Burial will take place at Blake Cemetery in Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 from 2:00 p.m.-8:00p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, Portage.
