Charles W. Bishop Sr., age 74 of LaPorte, Indiana passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011. He was born on June 27, 1936 in Philadelphia, MS. Charles served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a bus driver for Gary Transit for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Local 142.
He is survived by 5 children, Shari Hirsch of St. Joseph, MI; Becky (Jerry) Chitwood of Chesterton, IN; Charles Bishop Jr. of KY; David Bishop of WI; Peggy Cervantes of LaPorte, IN; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Louella Bishop and 1 grandson.
