Charles "Rainey" "Chuck" R. Robertson, age 84, of Hobart, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021.  He was born in State Line, Mississippi on February 16, 1937 to the late Archie and Kate (nee Sowell) Robertson.  Chuck was a proud United States Army veteran.  He retired from NIPSCO in 1992 where he worked as a Building Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and cutting grass.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marsha (nee Emery) Robertson; sons, Charles (Paula) Robertson, Jr., Jeffery (Michele) Robertson; daughter, Julie Robertson; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Frances) Robertson; sister, Sandra Wells; sisters-in-law, Judy Bigham, Frieda Allen; brother-in-law, Joe Lovelace; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by son, David Robertson; brothers, Billy Robertson, Rodney Robertson; sister Katherine Lovelace, Carolyn Robertson; and his parents.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Randy Forsythe officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd.
