Charles "Frank" Franklin Long

Charles Franklin Long, Jr., age 65, of Portage passed away January 31, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center. Frank was born May 4, 1951 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Charles and Virginia "Virgie" (Sapp) Long. He was a Truck Driver/Teamster last working for Jack Gray Trucking. Frank loved Hot Rods and working in his garage. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Becky; two sons, William (Leah) Long and Charles (Deana) Long, III both of Lake Station; four grandsons, Mark (Lindsey) Long, Zachary (fiancée Rachel Schmitt) Long, Charles Austin (fiancee Brandi McCormick) Long and Eric Long; his niece, Melissa (Richard) Maness; his nephew, Steve DeForest; and many dear friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Samuel Long and one sister, Peggy Mae Hunt.

Frank requested to be cremated with no attended services.
