Charles Murphy Wilson

Charles Murphy Wilson, age 70, of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday July 28, 2026, at the Brickyard of Merrillville Health Center. He was born October 9, 1955, in Aliceville, Alabama to Joseph and Katie Wilson. Charles retired from NIPSCO. Charles loved his coffee and his TV.

He is survived by his three children, Shane Wilson of Indianapolis; Jeremy Wilson of Valparaiso, and Christina (Michael) Burch of Chesterton; four grandchildren, Rylee Nicole Wilson, Gracelynn Katie Wilson, Aleena Mileski, and Alexia Paparodis; 5 great grandchildren; four siblings, Clara Ann Penrose of Valparaiso, Debby Enrico of LaPorte, David (Cindy) Roach, and Cheryl Roach; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Katie Wilson.

Charles wished to be cremated. There will be a Celebration of His Life at a future date. Rees Funeral Homes, Hobart Chapel assisted with arrangements.
