Charlie Poague

John Charles Poague "Charlie", age 55, of Portage, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018. He was born on September 12, 1962 in Valparaiso to the late John and Elberta Poague. Charlie was employed as a truckdriver for AAAction Transport. He was an avid racecar driver and enjoyed deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Dena Poague; 3 step children, Amanda Hofmann, Brett Cronkhite and Megan (Jason) Cronkhite Scott; 6 grandchildren, Aiden, Ryder, Gage, Gunner, Julian and Paislee; with special mention to Robert Myers and Debbie Calvin whom he loved dearly, cousins, Bill Hayman, Alanna Hayman, Leslie Hayman, Taylor Hayman; very special friends, Chuck Schoon, Butch Fisher, Ron Wilkes, Smiley Gallegos.

A funeral service for Charlie will take place Monday, July 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel,  5341 Central Ave., Portage. He will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery.
