Charlotte A. Ward Dolezal, age 86, of Hobart, and formerly of Winamac, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at home. She was born on June 18, 1931 in Winamac, Indiana to the late Charles and Elizabeth Russell. Charlotte retired after 26 years of working as a nursing technician at Winamac Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved flowers. One of her favorite things to do was to wander down the road, picking wildflowers to make arrangements.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Charleene Hinojosa of Hobart, Julia Ann Hernandez of Tampa, Florida; step daughter, Joleen Graff of Crestwood, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; many loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph W. Ward in 1988; second husband, Arthur Dolezal in 2009; brothers, Willard, Gerald, Kenneth and Kermit Russell; sister, Sr. Florence Russell.

A memorial service for Charlotte will take place Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Joe Mollet officiating. Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
