Charlotte Ruth Greenwell, age 68, of Portage passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at her home in Portage. She was born on April 27, 1954 to the late Charles Richard and Alice Jean (nee Syler) Witt, Sr. in Crown Point, Indiana. Charlotte worked as a stocker for Meijer and was a member of AZ camping club. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts and scrapbooking.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Charlotte is survived by her husband of 23 yrs., Hubert A. Greenwell, sons, Michael Johnson, and Jason (Elizabeth) Greenwell, daughter, April (David) Littleton, three grandchildren, David James, and Katelyn Littleton, and Kyra Greenwell, four great grandchildren, Emmett, Layla, Noelle, and Baylee: three brothers, Richard Eugene Witt, Kenneth Marten (Laura) Witt, and Charles Richard (Tammy) Witt Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Earl Albert Witt.

Visitation for Charlotte will be held Friday, October 14 ,2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, Indiana 46368.  Funeral service will take place Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
