Charlotte C. Kopac, age 103, of Crown Point, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at Crown Point Christian Village. She was born on February 24, 1912 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Henderina (nee Huisman) Koppelman. She was the owner of Charlotte's Store for Women in Dolton, Illinois. She was a Girl Scout Leader for 20 years, a Porcelain Art Instructor and loved to play bridge. She will be remembered as loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, aunt and friend
Charlotte is survived by her three daughters, Sylvia (Gus) Losos, Charlotte Herzog and Terrie Campbell; three grandchildren; Wendy (Arlington) Foley, Todd (Diane) Betts and Niko (Lisa) Herzog , seven great grandchildren; Shannon McCormick, Justin Angelini, Arlington Foley Jr., Philip Betts, Allison Betts, Viktor Herzog and Milan Herzog, four great-great grandchildren; Evelynn Angelini, Arlington Foley III, Brooke Crimm and Courtney Williamson, several loving nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip Schug in 1936; husband, Emil Kopac in 1981; grand-daughter, Cheryl Lynn Welch; great- grandson, Adam Angelini; eight sisters, Christine, Wilhemina, Ida, Alida, Violet, Daisey , Roberta and Lillian.
A funeral service for Charlotte will take place Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point, Indiana 46307. Visitation for Charlotte will also be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
