CHRISTIAN ENRIQUEZ, age 26, of Lake Station, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019.  He was born on February 3, 1993 in Valparaiso.  He was a graduate of Edison High School and was currently employed as a laborer for Arcelor Mittal Steel.  Christian enjoyed making rap music, but above all, he cherished the time he spent with his daughter, Stella.

Christian is survived by his daughter, Stella Renee Enriquez; mother, Mary Jo (Melvin) Gaskins, father, Fidel Enriquez; 3 brothers, Ian, Codie (Robyn), and Bailey Enriquez; grandparents, Rose and Melvin Gaskins, Sharon MacKenzie, and Carrie Enriquez; 4 uncles, Richard (Dorthy) MacKenzie, Jeff (Cheryl) McKinney, Jack Stafford, Scott (Lora) Chessor; 2 aunts, Jennifer Jeffers and Tonya Enriquez; many cousins and other loving friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Edna MacKenzie; uncles, Mike and Chuck McKinney; aunt, Kathern Stafford.

Visitation will be Monday, August 19, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
