Christie L. Risk

Christie L. Risk, age 40, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017. She was born on December 20, 1976 in Valparaiso, Indiana. Christie worked for UGN in Valparaiso as a furnace operator. Christie loved spending time with her family and listening to music. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.
Christie is survived by daughter, Jane Risk of Chesterton; father, Thomas W. Risk of Chesterton; brother, Thomas (Stephanie) Risk II of Hobart and many loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose (nee Torma) Risk.
A funeral service for Christie will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. She will be laid to rest at Blake Cemetery in Portage. A visitation for Christie will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
