Christine M. Runk, age 69 a longtime Hobart resident passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017.  She was born on May 19, 1948 in Wildflecken, Germany to the late Mike and Jane Nowak.  She was a former member of St Mary's Catholic Church in East Hammond and also St John Bosco.  Christine loved yard sales.  She also loved her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Runk Sr. of Hobart, IN; three sons, Michael (Kelly) Runk of Hobart, IN; Raymond (Scott) Runk of NC; Thomas (Cathy) Runk Jr. of Winfield, IN; one sister, Irene (Richard) Trzupek of St. Joseph, MI; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Noah, Courtney, and Alexandra.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene "Gino": Nowak, and Francis Nowak.

Memorial donations in Christine's honor may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
