Christine L. VanDerGiessen (nee Fulton), age 60 of Portage passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018.  She was born on May 28, 1958 in Gary, Indiana to the late Russell and Virginia Fulton.  She worked in Housekeeping for Porter Hospital for over 18 years.  She enjoyed oil painting.  Christine will be remembered as a loving wife, grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Fulton, and one brother-in-law, "Phid" Giltz, two nieces, Sherri Graves, and Barbra Fulton.

She is survived by her husband, Jon VanDerGiessen, one step-daughter, Catherine (Randy) Campbell, brothers and sisters, Sharon Giltz, Beverly (Jim) Ollie, Linda Krueger, Sue (Robert) Gallardo, Keith (Wanda) Fulton, Rick (Wendy)Fulton, Loretta (Don) Huddleston, grandchildren, Ayden and Emma Campbell,  many nieces, nephews and family, father-in-law, William (Darlene) VanDerGiessen, sister-in-law, Kerry (Jim) Richardson and brother-in-law, William (Lisa) VanDerGiessen, Jr.

Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel and Cremation service.  Memorial visitation is Friday November 2, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a memorial service at 6 p.m. with Rev.
