Obituary

Our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and cousin, Christopher {Chris} Glasco returned to his heavenly home on September 22, 2023, unexpectedly after a tragic accident on the job. Christopher was born on February 21, 1984, to Alicia McClanahan-Garcia and Ray Glasco in Woodbridge, Virginia.    He grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland where he graduated from high school in 2002. Chris was a kind and loving child who was loved by his parents, his many siblings and adored by his countless nieces and nephews.  Chris had big hair, a big heart, and an even bigger smile.  His laugh was contagious. He was a gentle giant who would help anyone who needed it.  He had strong bonds to his family, especially the younger ones, which led to him moving to Gary, Indiana in 2005 to help his sister and her family as they were going through some tough medical issues.  He continued to live in Gary working for JIMB Roofing until the time of his passing. When he wasn't at work, Chris loved playing video games, spending time with the family dogs and his many nieces and nephews.

Chris leaves behind a devastated family including his mother, Alicia McClanahan Garcia, stepfather David Garcia, siblings Malisia Lemme (Arthur), Shawn Smith (Stephanie), Zenobia (Ericka) Warren (Mack), Rianna McClanahan, Kelly Pineda (Richard), Linda McClanahan, Racheal McClanahan (John), Damian Garcia, Cody Garcia and Zachary Glasco.  Additionally, he is survived by his grandmother Mary Jane Conroy, and his great aunt Mary Washington as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by his father Ray Glasco, Stepfather Russ McClanahan, his grandmother Nona May Glasco and his grandfather's   Peter Hansen and Alfred Conroy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a charity of your choosing in his honor.
