Christopher "Todd" Osgood

Christopher “Todd” Osgood, age 50, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away on January 27, 2026. He was born on April 3, 1975, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to John and Marcha Osgood.

Todd was a 1994 graduate of Bloom Trail High School. On September 5, 2015, he married the love of his life, Courtney Shepitka, at the Band Shell in Hobart, where together they blended and built a beautiful family.

He was currently employed as a truck driver and was known by all who met him for his hysterical sense of humor, quick wit, and larger-than-life personality. Todd/Chris was truly the life of the party and had a gift of gab and for making people laugh. When he wasn’t surrounded by friends and family, he could often be found lost in a good novel or riding his treasured 2016 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Limited. One of his favorite places on earth was Moab, Utah, which held a special place in his heart.

Todd is survived by his beloved wife, Courtney Osgood; his children, Peyton Osgood, Alex Termini, Sydnee Osgood, and John Osgood; his parents, John and Marcha Osgood; his brother, Jason Osgood; his sister-in-law, Kari (Joe) Martin; his brothers-in-law, Peter Shepitka, Rodney (Sheri) Shepitka; his nieces and nephews, Zoe Klut, Chase Osgood, Dylan Braasch, Isabella Osgood, Kira Martin, and Colton Shepitka; and his cherished animals, Toshi, Shiloh, Punkin, and Oreo.

He was preceded in death by his granny and granddaddy.

A memorial visitation for Todd will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana.
