Christopher Joseph Schlosser, age 82, a longtime Hobart resident passed away Sunday March 2, 2014 at his home. He was born September 15, 1931 in Jackson Heights New York to the late Michael and Betty (Lettang) Schlosser. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Coca Cola Company where he had worked as a Service Repairman. Christopher was an active member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, a member of the Hobart Senior Center and Hobart YMCA, and a former member of the New Chicago American Legion Post #454.

Christopher is survived by his loving wife Alice (nee Pietrzak) of Hobart; 4 children, Christina (William) Horton of Venice, FL; Susan (Bill) Kennedy of Cincinnati, OH; Mark (Janet) Schlosser of Hobart, IN; Steven (Kathy) Schlosser of Hobart, IN; six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon Thursday March 6, 2014 at Assumption BVM Church 3530 Illinois Street Hobart, IN 46342 with Father Lourdu Pasala officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:30 am Thursday at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana. Prayers will be shared by Deacon Dale Webdell at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
