Christopher Conor Thunder Szala

Christopher Conor Thunder Szala, 33, of Olathe, Kansas, previously of Northwest Indiana for 32 years, took his own life after a long battle with depression. Leaving behind a loving Wife, Evelyn; Son, Conor; Daughter, Katie; Mother, Several Sisters, Brothers, & Close Friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Szala. Chris loved chillin' with his friends, playing poker, video games, loved superheroes, fishing, drawing (he was an AMAZING artist!), & an avid Chicago Bears Fan.

A memorial service for Chris will take place Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 4:00 pm with Deacon Dale Webdell officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Hobart, IN 46342.  Memorial visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.  In honor of Chris's love for the Chicago Bears and Superheros, please join the family in wearing Chicago Bears or Superhero attire to the service.
