Clarence W. "Buddy" Brown Jr., age 59 of Portage passed away Friday, December 31, 2010. He was born on June 16, 1951 in Bessemer Alabama to the late Clarence and Doris Brown Sr.. He was a Portage resident since 1977 and retired form U.S. Steel Gary Works. Buddy enjoyed horseshoes, bowling, shooting pool and deep sea fishing.

He is survived by his former wife, Cathy Brown of Portage, IN; 2 sons, Cory W. Brown of Portage, IN; Clarence "Bill" (Koni) Brown III of New Chicago, IN; 3 sisters, Carol (Bob) Duncan of Portage, IN; Brenda (Glen) Ingram of AL; Cheryl "Laney" (Roger) Stanley of FL; 1 brother, Terry W. Brown of South Haven, IN; 1 grandson, Daniel T. Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
