Clarence Edward "Ed" Cable, 78, of Lake Station passed away October 7, 2023, at St. Mary's hospital.  He was born May 13, 1945, in Kentucky to the late James and Myrtle (Coons) Cable.

Ed married Sylvia Louise Wyller on July 18, 1964, and together they raised three children.  He worked as a crane man at Inland Steel and retired in 2000 after 35 years of service.

Ed will be forever remembered by his devoted wife, Louise; children, Darin Cable, and Sharon (Leroy) Kennedy; grandchildren, Trae (Hannah) Cable, Tori Cable, Trent Cable, Sherry (Robbie) Kennedy, Christopher (Katlin) Kennedy, and Haley (Dawson) Cable; great grandchildren, Gracelyn Cable, Allyson Cable, Magnolia Horton, Corey Kennedy, Conner Kennedy, and Elijah Kuta; and brother, Larry Cable.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by daughter, Karen Cable; and two sisters, Barb and Linda.

According to Ed's wishes, there will be no memorial service at this time.  Rees Olson Chapel is honored to care for Mr. Cable and his family.
