Claudette C. Johnson

Claudette C. Johnson (nee Couture), age 60 a longtime Valparaiso resident passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012. She was born on February 20, 1952 in Gary, Indiana to the late Dona and Judy Couture. Claudette married her husband, John, on November 6, 1970 in Wheeler, Indiana. She will be remembered by her family as a loving nana who loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved shopping with her sissy.

She is survived by her husband, John C. Johnson of Valparaiso, IN; 3 daughters, Christy (Keith) Biggerstaff of Valparaiso, IN; Jennifer (Ryan) Hobson of Morocco, IN; Joy (David) Greenwell of Hobart, IN; 1 sister, Jackie (Dennis) Soohey of Valparaiso, IN; 1 brother, Rene (Kathy) Couture of Hobart, IN; 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Gavin, Taylor, Chelby, Shawn, Bryan, Jaycee, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point 46307. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel.
