Claudie Ursitti

Mary Claudette "Claudie" Ursitti, 82, of Crown Point, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14 in her home with her children by her side.  She was born July 11, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Nee: Powers) Will.

Claudie attended Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois.  She married Leondo Ursitti on November 24, 1962, and together they raised two children.  Claudie was a real estate agent with McColly Real Estate for 43 years and she was still trying to make deals the day before her passing.  There were four things in this world that her life revolved around: Jesus, family, work, and casinos.  She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and would do anything for them.  Claudie never met a stranger and was immediately loved by everyone she met.  The world lost a bright light the morning she passed away.

Claudie will be remembered by her children, Leondo "Rocky" (Deborah) Ursitti, and Misty Ursitti; grandchildren, Meghann, Zachary, Jakob, and Keighly; great grandchildren, Peyton, Nixon, Colson, and Maverick; siblings, Arthur (Carolyn) Will, Jr., Randall Will, Cleopatra Weslowski, Renate (Anthony) Sahulcik; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Leondo, Claudie was preceded in passing by her brother, Terrence, and brother-in-law, Dennis.

A memorial visitation will take place from 10:00am – 2:00pm Saturday, May 25 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342, with memorial service to follow at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital:  www.stjude.org.
