Clifton Earl Jeffers, Sr.

Clifton Earl Jeffers Sr., age 85 a longtime Hobart resident passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. He was born on December 12, 1933 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late Willie and Ada Jeffers. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. Clifton worked at LTV Steel. Clifton wrestled as a professional wrestler. He also enjoyed eating at the Red Rooster and riding motorcycles. He was a family man and loved his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Staples of Hobart, IN; one son, Clifton Earl (Lori) Jeffers Jr. of Schererville, IN; grandchildren, Jim, Jason, Keith, Scottie, Michael, Michelle, Juston, and Billy, several great-grandchildren, James, Ayden, Kylee, Ethan, Seth, Jada, Zoey, Jayden, Max, and Amanda.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Jeffers, and two sons, John William Jeffers, and Billy Earl Jeffers.

Funeral services are Friday, March 15, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Friday just prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel. (219) 962-1606.
