Clifton K. Orris Jr., age 78, of Portage, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Northwest Health in Valparaiso.  He was born on May 31,1942 in Oakdale, Pennsylvania to the late Clifton K. and Phyllis (nee Rance) Orris Sr. He proudly served in the United States Army, was a member of 113 ^th unit in Gary, Indiana for 35 years and the American Legion Post 100. He served as a Reserve Police Officer in Lake Station and retired from Travel Centers of America where he worked in the parts department. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Clifton is survived by his eight children, Brian (Eve) Orris of Valparaiso, Rich (Sue) Harden of Chesterton, Glen (Sonya) Harden of Lake Station, Stacey Motley of Lake Station, Nodie (Paul) Klimek of Shoals, Kim (Eric) Schneider, Christine Stark, and Carolyn Ellis all of Washington; 35 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis (Augie) Voye, Connie (Ted) Josey; sister-in-law, Dianne Orris; and several nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his three sons, Cliffie, Jeff and Bobby Orris, his parents and his twin brother, George Orris.
