Clyde Vernon Newsome, age 85 of Lyles, Tennessee left this earthly life on August 4, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Clyde was born in Portsmouth, Indiana on January 29, 1940, to the late Clarence and Leutisha Craft Newsome.

In addition to his parents Clyde is preceded in death by his son Douglas Raye Newsome and siblings Earl (Dixie) Keeton, Margaret "Irene" (William) Wright, Clarence (Zella) Keeton, Leo Russell and Calla "Louise" Newsome Hall.

Following his time in the United States Air Force Clyde worked as a skilled mechanic. In time, he found his calling in construction, where he worked until retirement. Clyde married his sweetheart Mrs. Patricia Radunz in 1977. Together they built the life they loved.

Those left to cherish his memory are devoted wife Mrs. Patricia Newsome of Lyles, Tennessee, sons Jeffrey Newsome of Crossville, Tennessee, James (Reba) of Crossville, Tennessee, Timothy Newsome of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Daniel Newsome of Crossville, Tennessee along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great children.

a visitation for Clyde will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. A burial will take place Monday August 11 2025 at 10:00 am directly at Calvary Cemetery, 2701 Willowdale Road, Portage, Indiana 46368.
