Age 51 of Portage passed Saturday, April 27, 2013. Connie was born January 8, 1962 in Gary, Indiana to Ed and Helen (nee Selby) Rush. Connie had been a lifelong member of Augustana Lutheran Church of Hobart. She was an employee of the YMCA of Portage for the past 4 years and Co-Owner and Operator of Coach's Cut Lawn Service.
Connie is survived by her loving family, husband Larry of 27 years, 2 children; Eric (Olivia) Tharp of Evansville, IN and Holly Tharp of Portage, sister, Sandy (Larry) Cogdill of Osceola, IN , niece, Nicole Cogdill, aunt, Joann (Allen) Hangt of Canton, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ed and Helen Rush.
Memorial contributions are preferred to Porter County VNA Hospice, 2401 Valley Drive, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage.
