Connie Marie Tomerlin (nee Hounshell), age 45, of Hobart, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on October 26, 1971. Connie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Portage. She had a love for the Christmas season and Mickey Mouse. Most of all, Connie will be remembered as having a great sense of humor and being a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who cherished every minute she got to spend with her family.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Megan Tomerlin; son, Jacob Tomerlin; father, Kelly G. Hounshell; mother, Dolores Hounshell; brother, Kelly (Jamie) Hounshell II; sisters, Lisa (Jay) Gryczkowski, Treasha (Tony) Parks, Marcia Zeck, Carrie Yocum, Deanna (Aaron) Hansen; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Allie, Elizabeth, Anthony, Tosha, Mackenzie, Miranda, Jaxsen, Jayse, James, Tayler "TT", Paige "Connie Lookin' Thing"; and numerous aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jeremey Parks and brother in law, Timothy Yocum.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the family would be greatly appreciated.

A funeral service for Connie will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ, 2797 Bryant St. Portage, IN 46368 with Bishop Jarret Spence officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2-8 pm also at The Church of Jesus Christ.
