Constance "Connie" Louise (Stowell) White, age 71, of Portage, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Hobart, Indiana.

Connie was born on December 10, 1950 in Rensselaer, Indiana.  She was the daughter of George & Louise (Zeck) Stowell.  She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School in Gary.  She married her childhood sweetheart, Don "Doc" White. They were married 52 years and had two children.

Connie worked as a reading aide for Portage Township Schools for many years.  She was co-founder and vice president of Gabriel's Horn.  She enjoyed line dancing, playing bunco, traveling, and loved spending time with her grandkids.  Her family and friends will miss her deeply.

Connie is survived by her husband Don White of Portage, daughter Cheri (David) Gobin of Colorado Springs, CO, son Rusty (Tera) White of Portage; five grandchildren: Anthony & Courtney Gobin, Travis, Madison, & Brady White; two great grandchildren: Jackson & Hunter Gobin; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by both her parents, sister Pam Singleton, a half-sister Tammy King, and an infant half-brother Charles Smith.
