Cora Dixon,

Age 94 passed away Tuesday, November 15,2022 at Golden Living Center in Valparaiso.  She was born on November 10, 1928, in Sodus, Michigan to the late James and Freda M. (nee Schultz) Price. She started working as a cashier at Walgreens in 1969 and retired in 1980. She was a member of St Frances Xavier in Lake Station. Cora enjoyed ballroom dancing, cooking, reading, but above all else she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Cora is survived by her ten children; Linda (Orlando) Rivera of Portage Barbara Sadelack of Portage, Timothy Dixon of Lansing Illinois, Ronald (Marietta) Dixon of Kentucky, Carolyn Dixon of Michigan City, Anthony (Mary Ann) Dixon of Colorado, Philip Dixon of Hobart, Catherine (Charles) Cantwell of Hobart, Jacqueline (Roger) Latta of Wanatah and Joseph (Kathy) Dixon of Texas; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ivan C. Dixon, grandson, Bradley Latta; three sisters, Betty, Florence, Shirley and daughter-in-law, Betty Dixon. A funeral service for Cora will be held Monday, November 21,2022 at 1:00 pm, with Deacon Richard Huber, at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday, November 21,2022 from 11 am until time of service.
