CORBETT S. BURTON, JR., age 78, of Lake Station, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 11, 1947 in West Virginia. Corbett was a steelworker and retired from LTV Steel after many years of service. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam. He  was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and a lifetime member of both the American Legion and of the VFW Post #9323.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Dewayne) Fontenot, Jackson, GA; son, Michael (Jenny) Burton, Westville; mother, Genevieve Burton, Portage; grandchildren, Johnny (Amber) Sanes and Taylor (Jeremy) Phillips all of GA; great grandchildren, Isla and Brecken; brother, Bob (Barb) Burton, Wheeler; sisters, Roberta Lynn Saul, Las Cruces, NM and Sandy Burton of Valparaiso; many other loving family members and friends.

Corbett was preceded in death by his father, Corbett S. Burton, Sr.; and brothers Chuck and David Burton.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the Lake Station VFW, 2750 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana 46405 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.. Arrangements entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
