Courtney Lee Paulus, age 28, of Crown Point, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on January 16, 1989. Courtney, known as Aunt Deboo to her nephews, had a big heart and cared about other's feelings. She enjoyed spending time with her nephews, being with her friends, going to the beach, camping, and traveling. Courtney will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Courtney is survived by her mother, Ricka (nee Richardson) Paulus; sister, Samantha Paulus; maternal grandmother, Donna Richardson; paternal grandmother, Hazel Collins; nephews, Ayden Irizarry, Anthony Qurioz II; special cousin, Brynn Richardson; and several other cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vern Paulus.

A funeral service for Courtney will take place Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph, Crown Point, IN 46307 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.
