Cristy Layne

Cristy Layne, age 37, of Crown Point, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born on January 7, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cristy loved animals and dedicated a lot of her free time to rescuing dogs. She always had an outgoing personality with a cheery disposition. She made friends wherever she went and will always be remembered for the way her beautiful eyes and smile lit up a room when she walked in. Above all, she loved her son, Grant and cherished the time she spent with him.

She is survived by her mother, Meloney (Patrick O'Hern) Layne; father, Howard Layne; son, Grant (Colleen Cary) Baker; sister, Cassie (Matthew Hoots) Layne; niece, Kaitlyn Vazquez; nephew, Cayden Hoots.

Memorial contributions in Cristy's name may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

A funeral service for Cristy will take place Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph Street Crown Point/ Winfield, IN 46307.
