Crystal L. (MacNeil) Jackson, age 68, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, February, 15, 2015. She was born on September 7, 1946 to the late Leo and Carolyn MacNeil. Crystal was employed as a medical transcriptionist for Methodist Hospitals. She volunteered in the emergency room at Methodist since the age of 16. Crystal was also involved in politics in Merrillville serving as a Precinct Committeeman and was a former employee of the Ross Township Trustee. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Crystal is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Marvin Jackson; daughters, Sandra L. (Walter) Bennett, Sherry A. (Scott) Martin; grandchildren, Renee and Ryan Martin; beloved Dachshund, Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Carolyn MacNeil; brother, William Harding. Memorial contributions in Crystal's name may be made to the family.

A funeral service for Crystal will take place Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342. Cremation will follow services.
