CURTIS E. SNOWDY, age 74, of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Curtis had been a Lake Station resident since 1999 and was formerly of Chicago, IL. He enjoyed bowling, playing poker and crossword puzzles. Curtis was extremely proud of his family and his favorite TV shows were "The Price is Right" and "The Wheel of Fortune". He really hated to shovel snow!
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Roberta, 6 children: Charles Snowdy of Woodstock, IL, Robin Snowdy of Highland, Calvin Snowdy of Brunswick, GA, Guy (Nancy) Snowdy of Overland Park, KS, Paul (Leanne) Snowdy of Bronston, KY and William Snowdy of Whiting, 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert, grandson, Jason Verta, 2 brothers, Donald & John Snowdy and sister, Ruth Haskel.
Visitation for Curtis will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 from 2-8 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station.
