Curtiss L. Ketchem
Hobart, Indiana
Age 77, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. Curtiss was born October 3, 1935 to the late Everett L. and Phyliss Ketchem in Odon, Indiana. He was a retired mechanic for William A. Pozzo Incorporated, a truck driver for Bulk Matic Transport, a 20 year owner and operator of Tool Shed Rental and a Teamster of Local 142. He was an avid Bear and Brickie fan and enjoyed camping, family, friends, and winters in Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years; Delphine (nee Stewart) Ketchem of Hobart, son; Rory (Donna) Ketchem of Burns Harbor, daughter; Pam Caldwell of Hobart, grandchildren; Kristina (Ryan) Jarmula of Washington D.C, Alicia Ketchem of Laporte, Montana Ketchem of Burns Harbor, and Gage Ketchem of Burns Harbor, great-grandson Talen Ettel, 2 sisters; Janet Roberts of Georgia, Elizabeth Brant of Valparaiso, many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Curtiss is preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert (Evelyn)Ketchem.
Funeral Service for Curtiss will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Roberts officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana. Entombment at Mausoleum Graceland Cemetery, Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2:00- 8:00 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Lung Association or VNA Hospice Center would be appreciated.
