DACRE "SHAWN" SULLIVAN, age 60, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020.  He was born on October 29, 1959 in Gary, Indiana.  Shawn recently retired from the East Chicago Police Department after almost 30 years of service. Shawn was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and football fan.   Above all, he valued the time he spent with his friends and family and will be remembered for always being there for those he loved.  He will truly be missed.

Shawn is survived by his 3 sons, Jacob (Lori) Sullivan of AZ, Christopher (Grace Vaziri) Sullivan of Storrs, CT, and Patrick (Madeline Bartsch) Sullivan of Portage, IN; mother, Lela Ann Sullivan of Hobart; brothers, Gordon (Sheila) Sullivan and  Doug (Christie) Sullivan, all of Hobart, sister, Shari (Greg) Hall of Hobart; other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Sullivan.

Funeral services for Shawn will be Monday, August 10, 2020 at 12 Noon at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart.  Burial will follow at Calumet Park Chapel.
