Dale R. Bean, age 85, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017.  Dale was born on April 17, 1932 in Dexter, Missouri to the late William R. and Opal (nee Walden) Bean. He was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was a retired master mechanic and trouble shooter for General Motors and also an Automation Designer, who won numerous awards for his designs, Dale was truly an asset to the Auto Industry. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 yrs., Mary Ann Bean of Valparaiso; daughter, Leanne (Robert) Rivera of Hobart; three grandchildren, Jeff, Nikki and Samantha; four great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Aaron, Jaxson and Braden; brother, Howard Walden; sister, Phyllis Bean; daughter-in-law, Ginny Messinio;   numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Dale will be Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, IN. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
