Age 66, passed Thursday, February 13, 2014. Dale was born on November 20, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late Frederick and Mabel (nee Smock) Nelson. He was a retired Operator of Engineers at Local 150. Dale enjoyed spending time fishing with friends and family. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Dale is survived by two daughters; Patricia (Rony) Beauduy of Boling Brook,Illinois, Julie Nelson of Lake Station; two grandchildren Justin and Jonah Beauduy; two brothers, Irving Nelson and Donald (Kathleen) Nelson both of Portage, many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Beauduy family would be appreciated.
Funeral services for Dale will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery.
