Damon J. Hackett

Damon J. Hackett, age 26, of Chicago Heights and formerly of Hobart passed away Monday, May 17, 2021. He was born on February 17, 1995 in Merrillville, Indiana to Heather Hackett- Swan and Kenneth Swan. He was currently working as a fabricator for Tufts Grinding, Inc. in Chicago Heights. He was a very talented artist who enjoyed drawing and wanted to become a tattoo artist one day. He liked skateboarding, playing bass and loved music in general. He was a free spirit and will always be remembered for his ability to make people laugh.

Damon is survived by his fiancée, Cassandra Baughman; mother, Heather Hackett-Swan, father, Kenneth Swan; maternal grandmother, Tammy Budzielek; paternal grandparents, Earleen and Glenn Stephens; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Don and Shirley Barclay, Earl and Lois Miller.
