DANIEL F. NUNLEY, age 60, of Hobart, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Daniel had been a lifelong Hobart resident and was employed at Palmer's Paving. He later owned his own company, Professional Paving. Dan loved music, played guitar and wrote songs. He enjoyed resale shopping especially at the Gary Goodwill Store where he made many friends.
He is survived by 2 sons, Daniel Blue Nunley and Billy Nunley, both of Knoxville, TN, 2 daughters, Margie (Rich) Roberts of Kodak, TN and Jessica Nunley of Hobart, 2 sisters, Judy (Pastor Jarret) Spence of Portage and Jeanette Burrus of Hobart, 5 grandchildren: Zachery Roberts, Alex Roberts, Angelo Martinez, Demaryius Nunley and Essance Nunley; great grandson, Carson Roberts, 2 nephews: John Cooper and Jarret F. Spence; 3 nieces: April Menear, Kellie Batalis and Melissa Wlodarski; special friends: Bill O'Meara, Debbie Zimmerman and Jimmy Snellgrove. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian & Wanda Nunley, son, Chris Nunley and grandson, Tyler Nunley.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with visitation beginning at 11:00 until the funeral service begins at 1:00 with Pastor Jarret R. Spence officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
