Daniel R. Puchowski, 56, a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Dan is survived by his two children: Michael and Kaytlin of Crown Point; sisters Carol Puchowski of Valparaiso and Janet Richmond of Portage, and brothers George Michael Puchowski and Gerald Puchowski of Hobart; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Moises)Vallejo, Jennifer Richmond, Adam Klein, Michael Toigo, Amber Toigo, Vincent Bonaventura and Grace Krischke; and beloved ex-wife Jo Toigo and extended family, Lloyd Purchatzke, Patricia L. Petersen and Rick Rayner. Dan was preceded in death by loving parents, George and Dorothy (Miller) Puchowski of Hobart.
Dan was a self-employed real estate manager and an avid Harley enthusiast. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation for Dan will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with a 7:00 p.m. memorial service, Father Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Burial of Cremains will be on Sunday, November 17, 2013 beginning with 12:00 prayers at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, then processing to Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso for a 12:30 p.m. interment.
