Daniel Lee Slagle, age 54 of Chesterton, Indiana passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014. He was a former Valparaiso resident and a member of the Real Life Community Church. He worked as a Truck Driver for Nuway. Daniel loved golfing and cooking. He also enjoyed owning a business where he could travel with his wife all over the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Leeanne Slagle of Chesterton, IN; three children, David (Abby) Aponte of Portage, IN; Samantha Huckeba of Chesterton, IN; Jose Valladolid of Chesterton, IN; one brother, Alan (Teresa) Osko of MO; two beautiful grandchildren, Xavier and Isaac Aponte, father-in-law, Jesse Long, , two sisters-in-law, Roxanne (Paco) Long, Tina Long, brother-in-law, Richard Long . He had a loving aunt and uncle that he loved dearly, Jack (Karen) Fisher, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Naomi Christine Slagle and his brother, Fred Fisher.
