Daniel Karl Westgate, age 58, of Miller Beach passed away at his home on Wednesday October 17, 2018.  Daniel was born June 6, 1960 in Illinois to William E. and Marlene (Dietrich) Westgate.  Daniel worked as a body repair technician for over thirty-five years for several local body shops, he also started and ran Westgate Transport Company and he worked for Enterprise Rentals as a driver.  He was devoted to his family, he loved working outdoors, he loved his dogs especially Duke who was his heart, he enjoyed following the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jaguar Automobiles and his Motorcycle.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Laura; father William E. Westgate; daughter, Elizabeth (Richard) Adams; three grandchildren, Gwendolyn Kneiszler, Damian Cole Westgate and Adryan Adams; brother, William J. Westgate; sister, Linda (Tom) Gulliver; special daughter, Felicia A. Lee; special brother, Don (Holly) Lecik; special nephew, Jason Lecik; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his son Karl B. Westgate and his mother Marlene.

Daniel has requested to be cremated and a family memorial service will be planned at a later date.
